Gold Buddah. A buddah with a fat belly and a very contented expression on his face - is this buddah bank.
Measuring over one foot high the eyes on the Buddah bank appear to be closed, his mouth has a smile and the rolls of his neck are supporting his head. The legs are not crossed but are placed comfortably in front. One hand is on each knee. The Buddah's head is bald, his ear lobes are quite long and his tummy is quite full.
From the back the clothing design has more detail. I see a loin, a flower, perhaps a peace sign?
This bank is made of plaster in Mexico. Gift wrap, gift card, personalization are not availalbe. The Mexican's work at their speed and one needs to be patient. Each buddha bank will use the same mold; however, the Mexican artists paint it however they wish. I like them all - but it is not possible to order a specific color. The ones I've seen are all metal colored - copper, silver, gold, bronze.
What we have in stock at the moment are metallic gold buddah banks.
