Shipping for International Customers

As you check out, you need to select “International” as your shipping option.
It is your only option.

FEDEX
We used to ship all international orders via the U. S. Post Office but we no longer do so. In February 2003 we switched to FedEx due to the great rates we get. You will typically receive your package within 3 business days. You get tracking information. This is a HUGE improvement over the U.S. Post Office.

We use FEDEX software to calculate the cost of shipping but it is seldom accurate. It would be wonderful if it were – but there is nothing we can do but use the FEDEX software. We've shipped to at least 50 countries. Too many countries, too many variables. Most countries charge customs. Some countries have additional taxes. It is your responsibility to pay all of those costs.

Why is your International shipping cost wrong? We can only enter ACTUAL weight into the FEDEX software. That works fine with Ground shipments – but International shipping uses EXPRESS. EXPRESS shipments use DIMENSIONAL weight. That means the size of the box is taken into consideration. A 5 pound gift can fit into a box that measures 5” x 5” x 5”. It can also fit into a box that measures 25” x 25” x 25”. Since Express consider the size of the box – the larger box will cost more to ship. Sadly, MOST of our Express shipments cost more than the Shopping Cart calculates. This is a pain for everyone involved. If FEDEX will ever design software that calculates dimensional weight, it will solve the problem. Until then, please monitor your email. You will be told what the actual cost to ship will be.

When we email you, you will be told the cost of duties, VAT, customs, and shipping. Please respond ASAP as to whether you will accept these charges. If you do, we will process your order and you will receive an email with your sales receipt. If you do not, we will credit you however much you have paid.

NO INTERNATIONAL ORDER IS PROCESSED UNTIL WE RECEIVE YOUR EMAIL ACCEPTING ALL CHARGES.
