Brown pelicans who dive bomb into the water when feeding reside in San Diego. The white pelicans are motored from the Salton Sea to Sea World for rehab. Once they are well enough to be released, they are released on San Diego Bay. Some of the white pelicans will fly back to the Salton Sea and some decide San Diego is an OK place to live and stay there! White pelicans eat while swimming - they just open their mouths and filter the water to get food. How's this for trivia?
